Abstract

The Blaupunkt Pop 70 is a rare and iconic radio system designed in 1969 by Hans Vagt and Peter Bannert. It is celebrated for its Space Age aesthetic. The system includes an AM/FM stereo radio, a built-in antenna, and its sound quality is noted for being excellent. The unit consists of a main radio receiver and speakers and it is a collector's item.

We reinterpreted it to turn it into a music player. For that we change some the button to adapt it to the functionality ****of a ****music player.

Concept

For this project, we chose to reimagine the Blaupunkt Pop 70, a radio system known for its timeless space aesthetic design and excellent sound quality. Our goal was to adjust this vintage object in a way that preserves its original charm while making it relevant for today. By combining its classic aesthetic with modern functionality, such as fast-forward and rewind functions, we created a concept that bridges the past and present, offering a fresh take on an iconic piece of audio history.
